Priority Transmission #22: ILMxLab’s Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge is a Virtual Reality experience coming to the Downtown Disney® District at the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, California on Sunday, November 21, 2021 and running through January 5, 2022. This is a free experience that expands the location of Batuu beyond the confines of Black Spire Outpost. The experience features the character Seezelslak, voiced by Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live, Star Wars Resistance). Seezeslak is an Azumel bartender who runs a cantina in competition with Oga’s cantina and isn’t nearly as shy.

Recently, Sarah Woloski and Tricia Barr attended a Press Conference put on by ILMxLAB where we learned some fun behind-the-scenes tidbits about this experience. In addition to Moynihan, the press conference includes ILMxLab’s producer Alyssa Finley and was moderated by Holly Frey of Stuff You Missed in History and Full of Sith podcasts. Even if you can’t visit the experience, the panel is informative and their enthusiasm to share how the team built out the virtual world around Black Spire Outpost is really insightful.

From Disney Parks:
